Have you ever wondered what could be the reason why Kangaroo’s have developed feet like that? Imagine a country as expansive as Australia. In order to survive, the animals have to cover great distance in search of food and water.
One such animal, thanks to evolution that can traverse barren lands at high speed for hours is the Kangaroo. The animal is capable of a 25-foot bound across level ground – the red Kangaroo is the world’s greatest long jumpers. They can also travel over 50 kilometres per hour! The hind legs are stronger and to help the bounce, the animal uses its tails for counterbalance.
