Malabar Giant Squirrel

If you are a forest lover, you would love watching Malabar Giant Squirrel closely. These canopy-dwellers rarely make it to the forest floor.
They have the habit of building several globe-sized nests and use some for sleeping, some to gather food and definitely one for a nursery. One cannot miss the deep throated and high pitched shrill call of a Malabar Giant Squirrel, which can give monkeys stiff competition. These squirrels are known to drape themselves on branches while sleeping with their tails falling over. They are pretty active in the evenings and are known to rest during noon.
